ACN Analysis

Accenture plc (ACN)

ACN publishes earnings on Thursday before the opening bell.

I shall use options that trade for the last time nine days hence, on Dec. 29.

Implied volatility stands at 21%, which is 2.2 times the VIX, a measure of the volatility of the S&P 500 index.

ACN’s IV stands in the 49th percentile of its annual range and the 47th percentile of its most recent broad movement.

The price used for analysis was $152.71.

At this point I can move directly to the decision.

Decision for My Account

ACN’s implied volatility has declined below the minimums required by my standards; The 50th percentile of either the annual range or the most-recent broad movement. By moving into the upper 4th decile ACN is no longer tradeable as an options play under my rules.

ACN does meet requirements for a shares play, and I shall move it to join FINL on the shares-trades list.
