I entered six new positions today: AMAT, CRM, CPB, DE, FL and GPS.

I exited two positions: BABA and WMT.

I have exited BABA for a profit and shall update the analysis with results shortly.

I identified six prospective new positions last night, and all six continue to qualify for a closer look. They are AMAT, CPB, CRM, DE, FL and GPS.

I have so far exited one position today — WMT — and shall update its analysis with results shortly.

5/17 – 9:20 p.m. New York time

I’ll be looking at six potentials earnings play for trading on Thursday: AMAT, CPB, CRM, DE, FL and GPS.

All have sufficiently high implied volatility by one measure or the other, but the grids of many are spotty on the open interest. I expect some rejects, depending upon what happens to their liquidity after the opening bell.
