3/29 – 3:30 p.m. New York time
I am calling a close to my trading day, with one new position: EWZ. No exits.
3/29 – 2:30 p.m. New York time
I have entered a position on EWZ.
3/29 – 10:00 a.m. New York time
I’ve chosen to do an analysis and possibly a trade to enter a position on EWZ, an exchange-traded fund.
The other prospects are stocks that are approaching earnings in late April and early May, so their implied volatility will be on the rise, the opposite of the direction I prefer for these trades.
EWZ, on the other hand, has reached a recent peak and reversed, so the form of the IV chart matches my needs.
3/28 – 6 p.m. New York time
I shall attempt to pick one trade from a group of six prospects.: EWZ, FSLR, MGM, NVDA, VMC and YELP.
The next earnings season begins on April 24, the day AA publishes earnings, and will run for six weeks. So my time in the trading doldrums has a month more to run.
