I entered two new positions, JNJ and MS.

I attempted to exit SCHW at under my target of 25% of maximum potential profit. The trend today has been ambiguous and it has been difficult to get a fill because of the wide bid/ask spread.

I knew it was wide when I went into the trade, and take this to be a lesson learned — the hard way. I shall attempt an exit on Tuesday. The options don’t expire until the end of the next week, so there is time.

10/16 – 2:30 p.m. New York time

Entered an earnings play on JNJ.

10/16 – 1;55 p.m. New York time

Entered an earnings play on MS.

10/16 – 10;10 a.m. New York time

JNJ and MS continue to qualify as potential trades, and I shall do a full analysis of each later today.

I am attempting an exit of SCHW but have not yet obtained a fill.

10/15 – 3:50 p.m. New York time

I have two potential trades for Monday, as the intensity of earnings season begins: JNJ and MS. I have put four additional symbols on hold for various technical reasons, but shall continue to assess them on Monday. They are CSX, GS, HOG and UNH.

In addition, these symbols have passed preliminary screening and are prospects for further analysis later in the week.
