10/31 – 3:10 p.m. New York time

Outcomes: I entered two positions, GRMN and X. No exits.

10/31 – 2:45 p.m. New York time

GRMN analysis posted.

10/31 – 2:10 p.m. New York time

I am adding X to my prospects for today. It was added late to the earnings calendar. The CTSH bid/ask spread has widened further and I am removing from my prospects. GRMN remains a viable prospect.

So, I shall post analyses of GRMN and X. Let’s roll.

10/31 – 11:25 a.m. New York time

CTSH and GRMN remain on my agenda today, although the one with reservations has switched: GRMN’s bid/ask spread has narrowed to within my standards, and CTSH’s has widened to beyond my bounds of acceptability. It’s a volatile indicator that I shall watch on both before making final decisions.

10/30 – 8:30 p.m. New York time

I have two prospective earnings plays on my desk for Tuesday: CTSH and GRMN. There are problems with GRMN, whose bid/ask spread had widened to 10.1% by Monday’s close, slightly above my preference for single digit spreads. I shall check it on Tuesday and proceed to a full analysis if the spread has narrowed.
