11/8 – 3:15 p.m. New York time

I entered a shares position keyed to earnings on ANDV and exited MYGN, TTWO, OR and ROK for a net profit on all four.

I passed on an earnings play using options on JCI without a full analysis.

11/8 – 2:45 p.m. New York time

I have entered an earnings play using shares of ANDV. Note that I have changed the Shares posts title format to show the symbols traded. I.e., “Shares: ANDV”.

11/8 – 9:55 a.m. New York time

I have exited four shares positions coinciding with earnings announcements MYGN and TTWO for significant returns, and OR and ROK for losses. I shall update the Shares post shortly.

11/8 – 9:45 a.m. New York time

The bid/ask spread on JCI has widened to 18%. I am removing it from my agenda today. JCI was the lone earnings play using options. I shall go back to other symbols I considered and see if any have improved.

I have one earnings play using shares on my agenda: ANDV. It continues to qualify for trading.. I shall comb through the earnings list for others that might meet my standards, although pickings were slim when I did so on Tuesday.

11/7 – 8:45 p.m. New York time

I have one prospective earnings play using options for Wednesday, JCI. However, it has an overly wide bid/ask spread by several percentage points. I shall recheck it and move to a full analysis only if that spread narrows sufficiently to meet my standards.

I have one prospect for an earnings play using shares: ANDV. I intend to trade it on Wednesday.
