11/21 – 3;15 p.m. New York time

Outcomes: I entered options positions on CRM and DE and exited share positions on HRL and SIG.

11/21 – 2;35 p.m. New York time

I’ve posted the DE analysis.

11/21 – 2:15 p.m. New York time

I’ve posted the CRM analysis.

11/21 – 1:25 p.m. New York time

I’m adding to my agenda an analysis of CRM as a earnings play using options.

11/21 – 9;55 a.m. New York time

I have exited HRL for a profit and SIG for a loss.

11/21 – 9:45 a.m. new York time

The bid/ask spread on DE, my options-based prospect, has narrowed, and post a full analysis later today.

My shares prospect, BSBR, however, continues to show an ADX metric well below 25, and I am removing it from my agenda. The metrics on none of the other potential shares trades has improved enough to justify further analysis.

11/20 – 8.05 p.m. New York time

I have one prospective earnings play using options on my desk for Tuesday: DE. Also, I’m looking at one earnings play using shares, BSBR. Those two symbols come closest to meeting my standards, and they have flaws: DE a wide bid/ask spread and BSBR an ADX metric of 13.4, meaning that it isn’t trending.

I shall also check the late metrics for nine other stocks as potential shares trades coinciding with earnings announcements: CDZI, CRMD, GGAL, NYRT, RRTS, SQM, SRNE, TEO and UGP. Each has more than one flaw and seem unlikely to be tradable. Nevertheless, I shall recheck their metrics just in case I’m wrong.
