12/13 – 3 p.m. New York time

In today’s outcomes, I exited PAY.

12/13 – 9:45 a.m. New York time

Metrics of none of the four symbols under consideration today have improved sufficiently to meet my trading standards. I anticipate opening no new positions today.

The four symbols are NDSN, PIR, SAFM and TNTR.

I have exited PAY for a loss.

12/12 – 7:50 p.m. New York time

All four of the potentials that I have considered for further analysis on Wednesday have Zacks earnings surprise predictor (ESP) scores that fail to meet my standards.

I’m looking at them as possible earnings plays using shares, which requires some potential for a positive earnings surprise. Of the four, NDSN has a score pointing to a negative earnings surprise, and PIR, SAFM and TNTR no surprise-free scores.

NDSN also fails based on a bearish Zacks rank and bearish trend indicators. Zacks will run a fresh analysis overnight, so the ESP scores could all change. NDSN will also require some favorable movement in its price in order to qualify. In any case, I will know prior to the opening bell whether it’s worth giving any of these symbols a further look.
