10/9 – 3:45 p.m. New York time

In trading today I entered a directional play on GLD and exited an earnings play on COST.

10/9 – 3:10 p.m. New York time

I have entered a position on GLD.

10/9 – 2:15 p.m. New York time

I have exited COST for a loss and shall update the analysis with results shortly.

10/8 – 5:40 a.m. New York time

The bond market, banks and the federal government are closed today for Columbus Day. The stock exchanges are open as usual.

I have no trading prospects in sight for today.

I am looking at seven prospects for later in the week. Four have indicators that suggest that will move widely after earnings are published, increasing the odds that they will break beyond the profit zone. They are DAL and FAST on Tuesday, C on Wednesday and SCHW on Friday. As they stand now I shall reject those trades without a full analysis. However, indicators change, so I shall be assessing them again on trading day.

That leaves three candidates for a full analysis: JPM on Wednesday, and BAC and WFC on Thursday.
